The main specification of the Ultra SolubleTOP 100% proteins is that it is made using the best (and more costly) protein available on today’s market (LGI 895). In fact, the base is an ion exchange protein produced by a prestigious company (NZMP) that is substantially lacking in carbohydrates and fats.  As this product is very soluble in water, it does not need to be “instantised”.This means that no vegetable fat (lecithins) has been added to the product to improve its hydrodispersion as it is already excellent. The only “disadvantage” of this non-instant product is that when dissolving (e.g. 30 gr in 80 ml of water) a light froth forms that defines its “identity card”. Once dissolved (after a few seconds of stirring), the product is thoroughly liquid, limpid, and clear (depending on the flavouring). Given these characteristics, everything written below is true and valid for all good quality ionic exchange proteins.
While proteins have a mainly plastic/structural function in the human body, their importance in terms of energy in normal physiological conditions is negligible. Proteins provide most of the “building bricks” (amino acids) from which we are made and only become natural energy substrates in very particular conditions (e.g. a prolonged fast).
The speed with which amino acids and small peptides are absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract differs substantially from the type of protein from which they are derived. Milk serum proteins have a relatively brief permanence in the stomach and enter into the small intestine more quickly than caseins. This underlies improved absorption and digestion of these proteins, whose assumption causes a considerable increase in free amino acids in the blood less than half an hour after assumption. This facility for digestion and absorption is decidedly more marked when the preparation of the protein is based on so-called “ion exchange”. This isolation and extraction technique seems to preserve several types of peptidic bonds (the chemical bonds that bind the aminoacids together to form a protein). The final net result is greater bioavailability of di-peptides and tri-peptides such as those formed by glutamine and by two cysteine molecules, which have important anabolysing properties. This sustained “anabolism” helps optimise the use of endogenous protein and reduces proteolysis.  Serum proteins have an anabolysing effect on protein synthesis, especially in the muscles. The addition of serum proteins to the amino acids in the blood is physiologically important if it occurs 1 to 2 hours after training. This is the period of maximum muscular protein synthesis in the athlete, which is also helped by the physiological release of anabolysing hormones (e.g. GH).

SPORT: in addition to the nutritional value of the proteins, taking this product as a health supplement is indicated for sport any time an increase in or maintenance of lean mass (muscle mass) at the expense of fatty tissue needs to be guaranteed. So Ultra SolubleTOP 100% is a very technical product, easily digested and prepared (dissolving in water almost immediately).
dosages: for participation in power sports, up to 1.6 - 1.7 gr of protein per kg of body weight is advised. These dosages should be sufficient to meet the need to increase/maintain muscle mass. For participation in stamina resistance sports, up to 1.2 - 1.4 gr of protein per kg of body weight a day or longer in order to maintain muscle mass is advised. Mix 3 measures of the product (30 gr) in at least 80 – 100 ml of water or low fat milk.
EVERYDAY LIFE: the product is useful when the diet lacks protein (meat, fish) and for those who want to reduce their carbohydrate and fat intake during hypocaloric slimming diets.
