TONOMIX is a balanced mixture of essential aminoacids that also contains l-glutamine, l-arginine, and vitamin B6. Essential aminoacids are aminoacids required by the human body but which the human body is unable to produce. These substances are of particular interest since their use is rigorously controlled in order to prevent even partial unavailability for protein synthesis. The action of the essential aminoacids is strengthened by the concomitant presence of L-glutamine and L-arginine, two non essential aminoacids capable of modulating the anabolism of the proteins positively (stimulating their synthesis). Vitamin B6 completes the product’s formula as it is indispensable to using aminoacids correctly.Assumption of the product supports the synthesis of new proteins in various organs, especially hepatically and even more so muscularly. The percentage of individual essential aminoacids reflects the average composition (amino acid profile) of human proteins and favours L-leucine (more of which is present in the product) which of all essential amino acids is certainly the most involved in inhibiting the degradation of muscular proteins (lean body mass)

In addition to being essential to protein synthesis, almost all the amino acids in the product modulate the physiological release of important anabolic hormones such as growth hormone (GH) and insulin.

In addition to their plastic/structural functions, ramified amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine) in common with the other essentials can also have an energetic function in becoming oxydisable substrates. This energetic function begins with their transamination (B-6 dependent metabolic reaction) and becomes important when the subject has little carbohydrate available (after prolonged intense physical exercise, and during hypocalorific slimming diets). A third function of ramified amino acids is that they improve the sense of fatigue or stress felt in prolonged intense physical and psychophysical exercise (e.g. sustained slimming diets). 

 

SPORT:using essential and non essential amino acids is recommended after intense muscular effort when the body activates the various method of muscle recovery (protein synthesis).
