SALI+ Performance is a balanced blend of salts and carbohydrates providing an energy drink (with maltodextrin and fructose) able to restore important saline elements such as magnesium and potassium in the correct proportions. Substances able to support energy metabolism in general have been added to these nutrients in order to create the right conditions for improved stamina resistance performance.
Carbohydrates: maltodextrin and fructose provide ready and constant energy without particularly changing glycaemia levels and so without causing reactive hypoglycaemia associated with sudden onset of fatigue, without feeling hungry or muscular pains during intense prolonged physical exercise. In addition to their energy value, maltodextrin and fructose are easily digested substances. Vitamin B6 facilitates the storage and use of sugars (glycogen) in the muscles, improving the energy use of amino acids and fats in the muscles (promoting the synthesis of carnitine). Vitamin C has an important antioxidant action, suited to preventing damage to quick contraction muscle fibres that are very sensitive to oxidative type damage. Optimum concentrations of magnesium and potassium are a prerequisite for optimum physical performance. This is in strict relation to important functions carried out by magnesium (control of muscular, cardiac, vascular, metabolic, and nervous activity) and of potassium (control of the acid-base, hydric, and cellular osmotic equilibriums). A deficiency in these elements can result from profuse sweating during prolonged exercise, above all in adverse climatic conditions (hot, high humidity). Of amino acids, L-tirosine and L-glycine are able to support prolonged exercise through various mechanisms such as an improvement in the metabolism of fats (L-tirosine is the precursor of adrenalin and noradrenalin) and carbohydrates (L-glycine is a glucogenetic amino acid). Furthermore, glycine has a positive effect on endogenous synthesis of growth hormone (GH). The longer the stamina resistance exercise goes on through time, the more important becomes the role of fats as fuel/supplementary energy. In this process, choline and L-carnitine are indispensable factors in using fatty acids for energy. Damaging deposits of fat occur when the diet is poor and/or deprived of these substances. A further contribution to the production of energy comes from caffeine and coenzyme Q10. Caffeine increases metabolism of fats and general base metabolism, increasing wakefulness, alertness, and decreasing sensations of pain and fatigue. Coenzyme Q10 is indispensable to the formation of all the energy the body needs. The assumption of coenzyme Q10 is useful for improving stamina resistance performance. Its usefulness has also been proved in situations where the skeletal and/or cardiac muscle comes up against processes of fatigue and/or pathological changes to energy (myocardial infarction). In conclusion, Sali+ Performance’s original formulanot only guarantees good saline/energy restoration but also wider support of energy metabolism. The athlete is therefore ideally conditioned to improve stamina resistance performance in equal proportion to the exercise produced.
Instructions (sport):
1) to improve general physical stamina resistance performance;
2) to maintain and support a balanced saline-energy supplement during prolonged intense physical exercise;
3) to restore muscular glycogen reserves before, during and after competition and training;
4) to prevent saline-energy deficiency caused by profuse sweating;
5) to prevent asthenia, weakness, pains, and muscular cramps that occur because of energy and saline-hydric imbalances in the muscle fibres during physical exercise.
dosage: to provide the body with the correct supplement of mineral salts, dissolve 4 measures of the product (40 gr of powder) in half a litre of oligomineral water. The resulting solution is slightly hypotonic (about 250 millimolars). The solution needs to be consumed during the next 4-6 hours.
